For the last three years I have been saying the same thing, if we play well we will win if we don't we may lose! I don't see any reason to change my mind.

I am confident now we have many of the injured players back. I really cannot see the Leeds pack being able to compete for 80 minutes against our boys. I will go for 28 - 10 to Wigan.
Re: How do you think we'll do?
With Prescott, Charnley, Lima, and MM back I'm a lot more confident than I would have been.
Leeds won't be pushovers, but they have a lot more to fear from Wigan than Wigan do. I don't see Wane allowing any complacency to creep in either.
My prediction is a battle at the start, but Wigan will go on to dominate and win comfortably.

Footballers spend 90 minutes pretending they're injured. Rugby League players spend 80 minutes pretending they're not.

I thought his early guilty plea was deemed sufficient and no ban was incurred :conf:josie andrews wrote:He was serving a one match banGod wrote:Because there has been no update on his fitness situation so im asuming hes still injured. If hes fit why didnt he play last week? If he does play maybe we will have an edge, but the updates on his situation are silent. Rumour knocking around he needed an operation, no idea if this is true though.

Re: How do you think we'll do?
Personally think you are mad if you think this ageing Leeds team can turn form on and off like old.
They have beaten some poor opposition since being embarrassed by Wigan (hence the wins), yet I haven't seen anything from them to suggest they will be anything other than plenty of hot air and bluster during a game that they will fall away badly in.
Medlocke IS right that Wigan need to focus on their own game and not fall into a trap of allowing themselves be brought into an arm-wrestle of a match.
I think Wire without Briers is a bigger concern for them. Without him, they were clueless against a Catalans side without much of the ball during the first half and only as half fit Monaghan to give them some sort of creativity. Huddersfield may well provide the big shock for the weekend

Re: How do you think we'll do?
Said this a short while ago.
Leeds are concentrating 100% on winning the Challenge Cup this season and IMO very little else matters to them.
Why would Peackock decide to retire from International Rugby League half way through an international competition without other thoughts on his mind.
Leeds are a team of aged players, most having won the Grand Final and WCC on numerous occasions, yet few, have tasted Challenge Cup glory.
Leeds will be desperate for this as their players opportunities start to dwindle due to their age and they know this.
Leeds will have concentrated training 100% solely on Wigan gameplay stratergy for a number of weeks now and will be well prepared.
IMO, Waney will have already concentrated his pre match thoughts with Gaz hock to enable him to concentrate his energy into his gameplay and not retaliate. Gaz can focus, we have seen plenty evidence of this in 2012.
IMO, Where we may come unstuck is with the lack of Tommy at 7 (Lockers in at halves) and maybe Micky Mc missing which may be decisive.
Lets also hope that the players previously carrying knocks are fully recovered.

I will be going to the betting shop in the morning drawing my winnings from last week £57-27 and putting £30 on Wigan giving Leeds 10 start,i might also put £30 on Warrington giving Huddersfield 14 start.
Re: How do you think we'll do?
We shouldn't underestimate them regardless of their ages or what has happened before. Hope the weather is good for one thing as they always seem to do better than us in the wet. Can imagine Sam is going to get targeted even more than normal by the likes of Bailey and according to someone on RLfans Preccy has failed a fitness test so lots of if's and buts. If they all keep their cool and concentrate we have more talent than them across the board so we should come away with a win but I don't expect it to be easy. Let's hope I am wrong and that we win at a canter.

Re: How do you think we'll do?
I've just spent half an hour reading the Leeds RL Fans site and generally, their supporters don't give themselves a chance. lots of them saying that they're not going to Huddersfield to watch Leeds take another thrashing. They really don't fancy their chances..... It's a Challenge cup semi-final for heavens sake, owt can happen. But back to the subject, "How do I/you think we'll do", we should win by the bookies margin, 10 points at least.

I am pretty confident. Since the Cats debacle, we have won a lot of games as big as this. It will be tight, and probably ugly, but what reassures me is that we know how to defend. If we score 20 points we will win. With Sam in the team we will get enough opportunities to score at least that many.
