Weakness is more like it IMO. That Child's seems to have sent MM off on the say so of the video ref when he didn't see it and his touch judge said it was OK is weak refereeing. It doesn't matter if Ganson was right or wrong or if MM deserved sending off or not. The problem is the ref is supposed to be in charge not the video ref.
Had MM been put on report the outcome could have been the same ban-wise but that isn't the point either.
The reaction of Ganson is akin to what you would have expected from a Saints fan not an official. Oh wait a minute....
The fact that Carl Abblett was not banned for the very same offence when it was also available to the RFL on video footage is not a weakness by the RFL it is purely corruption.
Abbletts finger ends were in the blokes eyes, and it beggars belief how the RFL can simply ignore this but yet they choose to.

BriH at least you have attempted. My whole point is that one voice is never really going to be listened to.It needs a majority. The obvious answer would be to vote via our lack of attendance at the Play off's and Grand Final. But we being the most loyal supporters they obviously know that this will never happen.Or the other alternative is that Wigan take on the Leeds Mafia ie Hetherington and cronies. But it seems we are a little on the timid side alas!

we don't stop playing because we grow old ....... we grow old because we stop playing
Re: Corruption.
Refereeing tonight has been completely biased. Only because of the gulf in class between the two sides are we not seeing an upset (so far anyway).
Footballers spend 90 minutes pretending they're injured. Rugby League players spend 80 minutes pretending they're not.

Re: Corruption.
Disgraceful officiating again!!! The hit on Hansen by Anderson was worse, IMO, than MM's last week. Only a penalty awarded!!! Head high shot but it's okay it was on a Wigan player
Anyone can support a team when it is winning, that takes no courage.
But to stand behind a team, to defend a team when it is down and really needs you,
that takes a lot of courage. #18thMan

Ok right - I was looking for a similar tackle to MM's not that which was obvious.God wrote:3 mins 14 seconds into it. Hargreaves and Lestrange spear tackle.DaveO wrote:Where about's in the video?God wrote: This is a career ending tackle yet he only gets a 2 game ban.

Everybody thought that in the east stand as we had a clear view. The chants of "off, off" were a clear reference to MM last week.josie andrews wrote:Disgraceful officiating again!!! Re: Corruption.
To be fair, I thought Silverwood tried his hardest to ensure the 'right' result - it was just that Wigan were, unfortunately, too good. Better luck next time - take some tips from Thaler & Child, perhaps.
It took 37 minutes for Wigan to get a penalty for lying on at the play-the-ball. Catalans never made any attempt to clear the ruck - persistently moved off the mark and loitered around in offside positions. Sa was the worst offender and fouled all night until he was taken off.
As for the Hansen "tackle" - obviously the Report option and yellow cards have been scrapped this season.
Still, nice to see that boring old double-movement penalty has finally been abolished.
One worrying thing is that Silverwood was probably the best referee last season - what on earth's gone wrong this year?
