I can see Wakey turning over Leeds, so I'd pick them.

This surely has become an easy decision...
For people who don't understand the playoffs..
We cannot now pick saints.
We will pick between wire (assuming they beat hull or hud next weekend) and the winners of catalan and leeds.
I don't think anyone would suggest picking wire as surely the sensible thing is to make saints play wire at LP.
We would therefore play the winners of Leeds and Catalans.
Thoughts?

I would say that that scenario is a certainty.Gizmo_Edwards wrote:This surely has become an easy decision...

And i have only one thing to add - come on Les Cats!
Re: A simple question...???
I can't see Leeds beating Catalans, think we will be picking the French come Sunday.
By the way Saints battered Wire cause they got in their face and didn't let them play, bit like Wire do to us when we play them. It's all down to whichever team wants it more these next two weeks.

Re: A simple question...???
I think it's fairly certain we would pick Catalans if they win and let Saints and Wire fight it out, the clubcall is becoming a non event as its been obvious every season who the leading team is going to pick
I was going to buy a book called "The Power of Positive Thinking", and then I thought: What good would that do?

I think Hull FC will beat Warrington and Leeds will beat Catalans, both tough draws as both teams are coming to some form.Gizmo_Edwards wrote:This surely has become an easy decision...

Peter Gentle has his best players returning and they are playing different rugby to what they have done for most of the season (albeit down to injuries no doubt).
Hull FC were my dark horses at the start of the season as IMO Peter Gentle is a very good coach and I will stick with that.
IMO on the form of the first round of the plays off we looked better than Leeds, and Wakefield wouldnt have posed us as many problems as they did the Whino's.
Get our game right and we can beat Leeds, however, IMO Hull FC or Wire are maybe the ones to avoid.
Re: A simple question...???
[quote="Gizmo_Edwards"]This may be seen as jumping the gun... but assuming all results go "to form". We beat Catalans, Wire beat Saints... then the following week Leeds and Saints come through.
As the highest team we would have club call.

I know the original question has been partly answered, but how have Leeds been included with Saints to come through as if the games went to form it would be Saints and Cats!!??

Well play the team that gets through that isn't wire.
If Hull win, then it will be them - otherwise it will be the winner of whinoes/dragons

I thought Wire would still be at home?Gizmo_Edwards wrote:This surely has become an easy decision...

Bloody stupid system anyway.
I'd pick Catalans, assuming the beat Leeds, if it's a choice between Leeds and Wire, Wane should toss a coin on national TV to decide.
That would seriously p*** off the idiots at the RFL.

Re: A simple question...???
No mate, the winners of Hull/Wire will play away from home as will Leeds/Cats. The two top 4 teams that won in the first week I.e. us and Saints get the home draw in the penultimate playoff. I seem to remember Leeds cheating us in 2010 and us then having to win at Headingly 2 weeks later to reach OT.exile in Tiger country wrote:I thought Wire would still be at home?Gizmo_Edwards wrote:This surely has become an easy decision...
