Close this thread down Wayne has confirmed that Wigan have taken up the option of a further year and he has agreed, IL will never sack him and risk paying compensation

Yes just been confirmed to me that Shaun Wane as extended is contract for a further 12 months

The contract extension is a nice little boost for the club ahead of Saturday :)

That fits with what IFL promised - get the team to a cup final and Waney's contract would be extended. My view is that he aimed too low, it should have been win a final and I will extend your contract.

If every club took that stance, a minimum of 10 coaches would be sacked every September!
