Got to ask this question - why did all of these people who were stood there and are now reporting it not react earlier????

I'm 5'0 and female and (before someone points out the obvious) would probably get a crack for my effort but if a big group of people had stepped in - things might have been different?!?!

I totally agree, i think modern day society is much more likely to film something like this that try and prevent it. The problem is there are horror stories of have a go hero's. I work with a man who's brother was shot and killed for trying to stop a group of men attacking someone in a hotel.

Real question is if he was on a stag do, where were the rest of them? strangers i can almost understand not jumping in but im on a stag do next weekend and if this happened to one of us we'd be all in there together regardless!.

Sadly this bears a lot of resemblance with my colleague case the hotel manager towing the party line "it was the fall that killed him" no doubt they will try and blame it on booze or drugs but its a tragic loss at such a young age

I know exactly where you are coming from and it made me very angry just reading about it.
But......if it's the Police? Very difficult to intervene without ending up on the end of a baton weilding cop yourself.
At least it's been caught on camera.
Will anything happen? I doubt it. Where were all his Mates?

I only knew Luke in brief passing BUT I honestly could not imagine him being the antagonist. He was a really likeable young man who just seemed to enjoy sport and life.
