No drinking within view of the pitch at the GF
Re: No drinking within view of the pitch at the GF
It was the same last year and nobody died.
I'm mystified though as to why anyone would drink, never mind pay an exorbitant price for what passes as ale at Old Trafford.

Same here. We usually hit the Oyster Bar early afternoon then recce at the Tollgate around 4. Can manage the OT/GF experience without more ale!jobo wrote:It was the same last year and nobody died.

Alcohol was allowed in the seating areas, but stopped a couple or seasons or so ago as a result of trouble by some supporters at one of the finals which correct me if I am wrong did not involve Wigan.

I was at Old Trafford once when some fellow was so drunk he puked all over the people sitting in the row in front. Not to mention one time being under a golden shower delivered by a load of Liverpool fans "going" into plastic bags and then throwing them over everyone. (that's football for ya)Green Machine wrote:At least I don't get wet when some twerp decides to throw it. Never understood why anyone would pay a fortune for a drink then throw it all over people.
Beer showers aren't the worst when it comes down to it.

Didn't know Todd Carney was a Liverpool supporter.curryman wrote:I was at Old Trafford once when some fellow was so drunk he puked all over the people sitting in the row in front. Anyone can support a team when it is winning, that takes no courage.
But to stand behind a team, to defend a team when it is down and really needs you,
that takes a lot of courage. #18thMan
