Possibly but I think the players we have young and old are far more capable than the coach, a coach who seems to struggle when signing players (hope that makes sense)

One thing is for sure I had forgotten how sad it is to go into a Saints derby praying we will not get humiliated as opposed to thinking about winning.
On current form we should get battered but you well know stranger things have happened in sport!! Saints look easily the best team at the moment but how good are they really? If our players perform irrelevant of what SW says or does we could beat them but I won't be putting any money on it!!

And again. My opinion is not related to matches that I have been unable to attend, due to working/living away.

But to the impression given out to intelligent and educated individuals by 'Bloke in The Pub' SW, the sorry state of a club like Wigan and the disbelief that there are so many 'sympathisers' left out there.

I'm sick of hearing unintelligent noise from SW and also from a section of this forum. Enjoy yourselves!

Just out of interest, if this were the demise of the local council, would you be so apathetic? Seeing that you bleed Wigan, like they do?
How do you distinguish intelligent and educated posters from those that are not?

I will hazard a guess that SW will be far more RL intelligent and educated than all on here, no matter what some might think. Posting opinions and ideas on a forum is a million miles away from actually running a team at the top level.

Being a first grade top class coach over a number of years takes unbelievable amounts of skills in all aspects, that's why there are so few in all sports in comparison to those that have tried.

Does this mean SW is untouchable, no way, should he go if things don't improve significantly very quickly? Absolutely!!

Does he deserve more respect than some show on here? Again absolutely!!
IMHO, he isn't that clever, but he is very smart.

I'll say it again, he won the Double with a team that most coaches would have struggled not to win with, but still managed a hideous losing streak at the end of the season.

He's smart because he used smoke and mirrors to use th NZ Warriors to get him a nice new contract.

He comes across worse than John "I'm a northerner me" Prescott and that is saying something.

I didn't get it at first, reading TotalRL and the comments about the shaven gorilla. Now I get it.

If he's reading, try and work on your media persona, because when you speak it is like the Gareth Hock sat on his sofa interview after getting hoyed from the WC cmp. Embarassing. This sport needs to move away from flat caps and whippets.

That's my opinion, if you don't like it then so be it. As much as I'd love to be at home with a season ticket, me and the boy will probably be sitting on the beach in the morning, staring out onto the Med.

Sorry if I can't see the games live, but as I've said before, you don't need to witness a crime to have an overall opinion on the damage that it can cause.

SC, firstly I am not in the 'Wane can do no wrong' brigade, I just believe he deserves a little more respect than some on here give him. I also didn't say people were not allowed an opinion on something if they don't watch it, I just said I would value those more that do. To use your example I would trust an eye witness of a crime more than somebody who wasn't there, having said that people have agendas so who can you really trust other than your own opinion I suppose. Finally linking to the intelligence subject, some posters on here seem highly intelligent, but the truth is it's very hard to judge how intelligent someone is on a forum, it's always better to make a judgement in person, remember the Internet is a brilliant source of information that can quite easily be copied to make someone sound more intelligent. However, I trust my gut and respect many posters however some I feel are not being very truthful about their agenda, but that's another discussion all together!!

Enjoy the beach!!
