I can't believe nobody has suggested it before but if i were the coach id be trying to sign Albert Kelly from KR. He might frighten a police horse but he frightens super league defences a damn site more.
He doesn't frighten their attack though. He's a turnstile!
If Kellys a turnstile then Smith must be an open runway.
Smith is not Wigan class, I don't see any improvement in him. Give me a young player with skill and potential every day of the week. Smith was a stop-gap signing but we have given him a long-term contract. He has not played well since Green departed.

Think this is the real poser. Wouldn't agree that Smith hasn't ever played well since Green left but is he currently playing well enough to keep his place in front of a Williams/Hampshire half back combination. Personally, I'd have bit the bullet based purely on how they performed for the academy but when your job depends on winning a trophy, then I suppose the apparent safe option is more preferable.

It would depend on which member of the family you spoke to though. His aunty lives next door to my friend and she asked her outright. She had stated he wasn't going to play for Wigan and he was moving away from Pemberton area because of a family feud.Personally if we stuck with British talent,I wouldn't mind him playing for us but I'm worried that he often picks up injuries

Heard today that Ratchford at Wigan is a done deal.
Colleague said it's from a friend of his who hangs around in Rugby League players circles.

Quotes from Waney in both rugby papers today stating that we won't be making anymore signings for next season. Having seen Stefan play on Friday I certainly wouldn't fancy him at fullback. If we retain Sarge and he's fit (earlier rumours that he may have a very long term injury) I don't really see where Stefan would play unless we have injuries and he fancies being a second choice utility player to replace Matty, George, Sam, Sarge or Gells.

But he did not say we had not already made some. I do think Sarge is done for us and this was doing the rounds long ago.

Things are going to change at Wire.
Turner has gone already according to their board and it wouldn't surprise me if Agar wasn't far behind through the door.

If they swapped Agar for Iestyn Harris then matters could turn around quite quickly at the HJ.
Ratchford like them all would benefit.

More to the point, who is Turner?
“Usually the fans that abuse players like Sam have never done anything of any note themselves. They’re nobodies, whose greatest claim to fame is abusing someone who has, and these so-called ‘Eddie the Experts’ pretend to their mates that they have."

Just done a bit more reading and I assume it's Mick Turner the fitness guy who was formally with Wigan.
He's still on the staff at Wire but doesn't look rosy for the future:
