Re: Rocky
This all started from Cps comment of "You obviously never played sport to a decent level. Winners are never satisfied with mediocrity WIN or lose. Stupid fans are blinded by a result!"
Some of that was inflammatory but This bit is quite astute "Winners are never satisfied with mediocrity WIN or lose. "
We all want Wigan RL to be the best and I am sure both CPW and TBW will both agree that the above quote is a sound assertion.
I am equally sure you have both played sport to a high level and so have I but can we cut the mud slinging and get on with the rugby!

Re: Rocky
Why is it that when ever we win by a big score, it is always more of a case with some that the other team played bad rather than we played well.
Come on, there have been occasions every season when the same could be said by supporters of other club's about us when their team has beaten us by a big score.
Every dog has its day, but we have more good days than bad!

How is it obvious that Hampshire has an attitude problem.medlocke wrote:So we won thanks to a shite Hull team, i wonder, if Rocky had played, how many would be saying we won because of Rocky?, would we be hearing chants of all hail Rocky :eusa16: , he obviously has an attitude problem if he's only being used as cover for a 32 year old, REMEMBER No player is bigger than the club
I never said that we won solely on their performance, just how much it may have had to do with our winning.
Did you think Hull FC played really well on Thursday night?

But he didn't link being stupid to how good you are at sport! He questioned what level I had played sport at which is ridiculous when you don't know anything about that poster other than a username. He said stupid fans are blinded by a result which has nothing to do with the level of sport you played at.dontshootthemessenger wrote:and there are examples of people who have played sport at the very highest level , who are the least intelligent people you will ever meet (gazza for mensa ?) -so its on a par with my dads bigger than your dad , which is good , because my dads little

Re: Rocky
I agree with the second statement about winners are never happy with mediocrity, win or lose, however in this situation the result away to Hull after our previous away performances and some at home was a little better than mediocre so it was an irrelevant comment at that time!East Stand Faithful wrote:This all started from Cps comment of "You obviously never played sport to a decent level. I can't even play tiddlywinks but even I know Hampshire should be getting far more game time than he has been doing.
From the matches I have watched he looks like a great attacking player who needs a fixed position that gives him more opportunity to show that skill rather than just being lumbered with "he's another Sam stick him at full back" argument.
With next seasons rule changes he is going to be (in my opinion) a very important player to have in your side

Spot on BM, if GIVEN the chance I am sure Rocky would bring more of the Hampshire doubters on side.
