no major signings rumour
Re: no major signings rumour
Another reason for not announcing signing early is that people discount them after a few months and ask why we aren't making any new signings.
I would like to see a centre joining the club though. But perhaps with sarg, gells, gildart and bateman, joel covering the centre spots we've decided we don't need anymore. I'd like to see an improvement in specialist centre quality but I can see why we wouldn't do that if sarg is staying next season.

I agree Mike, if Sarge stays we don't have a problem at centre for next year. Depending on who else leaves and who re don't get back from loan deals, I'm sure that we could do with another good quality signing. Still hoping for some good news.

It's called gambling on winning the GF with the lowest outlay.

Re: no major signings rumour
Quite right every team seems to be signing players for the eights or for next season.
Wigan seem to think what we have is good enough to compete with just Sam for next season.
Looks like it is on lowest amount needed to run the team!,,
Probley the reason lenegan and wane where in Asda looking in the reduced section for Bargins????

Where are the other clubs, especially Leeds getting the money to get players for the Super 8's when we supporters are led to believe there that all has been spent within a low salary cap?jimmybob2006 wrote:Quite right every team seems to be signing players for the eights or for next season.

At he beginning of the season, clubs declare first team squads of twenty five players, so why do they need to sign players for the second phase of fixtures?
