I've got to agree with you Fraggle, I live in St Helens and the stick i have taken you would not believe,
They certainly love to hate Wigan around here, But they do seem to single out Terry for special attention, they are calling for a six month ban and heavy fine off with his head ect, It's pathetic,
They seem to forget that they have dirty players and when i try to mention this they just accuse me of changing the subject, you see it was okay for Wilkin to run 20 yards and dive into a Wigan players ribs that kind of thing is acceptable around here, Unless the players name is Terry Newton, But thats the Stains fans for you.

There are some laughable letters in League Express this week (although one very good one!). One woman from Saint Helens is complaining that every time this 'young man' (I can only assume she's forgotten Terry's name) steps onto the field he loses the plot. I wonder how many times she has seen him play, lately he has controlled his temper extremely well, walking away from fights.

There's another fella saying him and 7 year old son were sickened by the thuggery from Terry Newton. Who is he trying to fool, kids love a bit of fighting!

I can understand Saints being angry but their fans do seem to over egg their stories for effect. I also found it amusing how the fans who staged a sit-in protest to reinstate Millward and vowed never to go a game until the board had been removed were booing our great leader when his face appeared on the big screen!

And I bet half of the whingers didn't even go. I know a lot of my friends said they weren't going, "can't afford it" "working" "can't be bothered" "going out" YAWN
And yet, all of them claim to be fantastic fans, and dare to have a go at the so called "Wigan walk" Pathetic.

They've no right to complain, Newtons no dirtier than sly Fozzard with his over bandaged arm or Talau smacking Faz at KR for no reason, and a 6 month ban and fine hahah coming from the team that had 2 of their own players betting against them and bringing the whole of SL into disrepute and a suspected druggy. They've always had it in for Newton and always will and it's nowt do with his playing style, it's because he's the best hooker in SL and will always get the place in the GB team over their fatso.

You missed out the part about their coach bending the rules? I wonder why?

I agree with what you said before Rob about the aussie going down so the ref gave him a telling off. This is what Gilmour was doing. Terry didnt attack the head although like the Long incident it did look a lot worse in slo mo but doesnt every tackle?

I dont think the Long incident will go punished as the ref must have seen it as the ball carrier was right behind Long and Newton took him down. Not his fault if there player runs behind the man as that is obstruction although it did look bad in slo mo but not at full speed which is how all tackles should be viewed.

Well done Terry you played with passion and with injury so hats off and at least it keeps Long out of the GB team so he cant s**t out again the little fag!

I didn't even think of that, I was just ranting about players since that's what they're doing but there is that too. It doesn't make a difference mentioning it since he hasn't done anything wrong at Wigan...yet

Maybe that's all the talking, laughing and joking he did after being taken off the pitch.

Newton and clever are two words that don't sit comfortably together.
