hes killing it this season we or any other SL team has no chanceNo straw damn us wrote:Signing Blake Green as a 26 year old was a shrewd move, signing him as a 30 year old wouldn't be.DaveO wrote:Well unless the Sorm are paying Green a pittance by NRL standards how can any SL side compete for a first choice NRL half back?butt monkey wrote:To Hull..... apparantly
Do Hull have a salary cap? More to the point do most other clubs or is it just us?
I tend to take these kinds of rumour articles with a pinch of salt but if Hull get him given our issues at half back then Rads should resign as football manager and it would highlight that we have some serious recruitment issues at the club.
And I don't mean not being able or willing to offer the right level of wages but it would show the club is either oblivious to the issues with the squad or that it is just not in the loop scouting-wise and has no clue as to who may be available. Maybe both.

A top bloke and a top player I wish him the best of luck at Storm and that's where he will be staying. He's formed a cracking partnership with Cronk and fitted in very well to the storm team.

Funny how some on here think he was overrated when he played for us.

I'm not a fan of the Storm's machine-tooled style, but I watched them against the Eels the other night and Green was excellent, setting up one try with a brilliant Sandow-esque diagonal kick. He has been very good the last few times I've watched them.

Re: Blake Green
People forget how bad he was for us week in week out. If I could remember I would guess I could count on one hand the decent games he had for us. What I will say in peoples defence is he had a decent last game and people will remember that one.

Re: Blake Green
Amazing how some people that apparently watch RL week in week out cannot see the quality Green had and showed when he played for us!! What is also funny is how he has gone from being s**** for us in to a top class half back in the NRL, amazing that!!Wigan Watcher wrote:People forget how bad he was for us week in week out. You need to buy a abacus if you think that Green only had five good games for us.Wigan Watcher wrote:People forget how bad he was for us week in week out. I agree WW, I don't know the criterea some fans use to judge our players, including those with the class, background and pedigree of NRL players in their prime.

Re: Blake Green
I recall I thought he was pretty average at the time. He did a good job in the final though.
