Anyone can support a team when it is winning, that takes no courage.
But to stand behind a team, to defend a team when it is down and really needs you,
that takes a lot of courage. #18thMan

Re: Catalan away
We've just sorted our own trip this morning.
Flights from Leeds to Barcelona Thursday morning to Monday evening. We're doing a night in central Barcelona then three nights in Lloret.
Roughly £270 each.
The club trip always looks pretty good but it was only yesterday I realised you need sort your own flights on top. The flight prices aren't great at the moment and are rising which is the reason we're going from Leeds.

We live in Solihull in the west midlands, as we live just a few minutes from birmingham airport we normally fly direct to Perpignan, flights are expensive but the biggest drawback is the flight schedule, just two inconvenient flights a week. This year we that is I decided to go by train. Cheap return birmingham to Marylebone and Using some Virgin airmiles we got return Eurostar tickets to Paris. Then Paris Gare de Lyon, direct to Perpignan. Fantastic 200mph + TVR trains and marvelous scenery, wouldn't have missed it for the world.

We've been a couple of times to the fixture, once by train (Eurostar and TGV) and once by plane. Both OK, it's whatever is convenient for you.
We stayed in Argeles sur Mer this year, and a couple of years back in Canet-en-Roussilon. We booked our own hotels and they were lovely.
Both resorts were good with long clean beaches and good restaurants and shops etc. And funfares for kids too.
One thing we discovered though is getting back to the resort after the game can be a problem. The trains don't always run late! There's a bus to Canet after the game, but not to Argeles. We hired a car which gave us a chance to explore the region - well worth it if you have time and energy to do it.
For all that it's a great trip and well worth it. Enjoy!

Is that where you live now Southend?? ????????God wrote:Didn't want to jump in as soon as fixtures were announced and it's paid dividends.
Thurs-Sunday flying from Southend direct to Perpingion £140
3* Hotel with BandB brilliant reviews on Trip Advisor 1.5 miles from the ground 500meters from the town center.
10 minutes from the Airport no messing about on coaches, hiring cars getting on trains etc.
Fantastic deal if you ask me.
