I think you're over-rating Higham's passing game. There will be more than a couple of occasions when Higham throws a wild pass that goes to ground, or throws a poor pass that leaves our forwards stood still next season. That aside, I reckon he'll be excellent for us next season, i've always rated him, but has anyone else noticed he's got a bit 'niggly' in tackles and around the rook in general lately?

Hate to admit it, (bites lip), but IMO Wigan have signed one of the best hookers in SL and more importantly he is only a kid, with many seasons ahead of him to better himself. He will serve you well next season.

i for one never bemoaned terry leaving but did wonder who would replace him think higham will be good for us

Highams played good for GB (yes that did almost choke me)! But i dont see what the advantage of Higham and Godwin is, they are very similar players, Higham the more experienced at top level, but Wagga a guy who never gives up whatever happens. And i dont buy Millwards excuse of Higham suiting his style of play, as terry was a cunningham style player who millward loved.

We wont play with 2 hookers, we dont need to. So thats the Godwin issue sorted.
Millward never really said Higham will suit his style better, he just rates Higham as a better player. No matter how much we argue or discuss whether we think its true or not doesnt matter one bit, thats his reasoning and that is your answer to why Millward signed him.

But when he was at Leigh and Stains signed him wasn't he really a scrum half?
perhaps that is part of the answer as well.

perhaps that is part of the answer as well.

Good point Ian yes, he does offer versatility which Newton doesnt. Higham can play scrum half and he does a very good job there, he has covered it plenty of times for Saints and done well whilst Millward was in charge.

Can't say that really does solve the problem, we still HAVE two hookers, both of whom are being paid, so we're paying wagga to be a water boy or play out of position or what?
