All we can do is support our team and our game in the meantime.
You are where you are now because of Delusions of Grandeur.
And by the sounds of it, you haven't learnt your lesson... 🤦
🤣🤣🤣

Delusions of grandeur.

Nice attempt at trolling.
How was that trolling? 🤔
Wigan were a successful club in a small time British League that massively overspent to keep on being successful.
When the success dried up for 2 seasons, you lost your home... shame.

You are living on fantasy island.
IL is having to dip in his own pocket every year as it is. What chance do we have of financing our own stadium with the pittance we get from TV rights, and 10-11000 spectators per game. Get real.
I am a staunch Wigan RL supporter, but I agree with Josie, I dont understand this " They are the enemy " nonsense.
You don’t finance a stadium off the back of a gate of 11,000 and certainly not off Sky TV money. If you are going to finance a stadium you do it off the back of a business plan that shows it’s a viable proposition. That plan would include income from other sources such as concerts etc which is what the Latics owners propose as far as I understand it. If IL and Wigan RL wanted to finance a stadium then they would put together the same sort of plan and gate receipts and Sky TV money would play a minor part in it. In fact I doubt Sky TV money would be included at all as that is paid to the RL club not whatever holding company was set up to own a stadium.

Correct, but by then Central Park had already been sold to Tesco.

Wigan won nothing in the 1996 season, and by the time another trophyless season came around in 1997, the clubs debt was already spiralling out of control.

My bad, I thought the Premiership Trophy died in 1995 🤦

To be fair though, the prize money from that was always rubbish anyway.

true but 2nd in the league would have brought money and the cross code challenge would have brought money, plus we won the middlesex 7's

And yet we're still a big enough draw to tempt a Latics troll to spend his time on our forum.
