its right and fair that fans get worried when we play bad. millward will turn it around im sure of it!i would sooner we get the bad games out of the way at the start of the season than at the end.

as He as a better team on paper than Denis betts ever did, and to see the players come of the field battered week in and out from playing above themselves show the commitment they had for DENIS.
the team we have now is a better team on paper but not got the heart apart from 4 or 5 players, would have been 5 or 6 if we still had Newton.
Mr M Linsey is not saying we can now start getting excided if we like is he.
ARE WE ALL BEING CONNED INTO PUTTING GOOD MONEY OUT
WHEN WE CAN ALL SPEND IT IN OTHER PLACES. :(
So you would rather have Dennis Betts than Millward? I'm sorry i have to go before i wet myself laughing!

Don't panic. I just saw the highlights and I am not as worried as I was yesterday. The conditions were very bad and would certainly have nullified any advantage we had on paper.

However, we are certainly not playing for each other as a team should. There doesn't seem to be any evidence of digging deep for your team mates. Until they start to do this for each other we will only have a set of players as opposed to a team.
That was certainly the impression I got on Friday night. There wasn't really any one or two players who were playing badly, just a lot of players not really working together and making themselves look very ordinary. The creative players just don't seem to on the same wavelength as the rest of the squad. The other problem, and one that's been there for a while, is giving away silly penalties. Not standing square, slowing the play down, things like that. I don't know how many penalties we've conceeded so far this season and how that compares to previous years, but we seem to be giving the ball away far too much for no sensible reason, and often in dangerous positions in our own half. You can't possibly win a game when you're putting yourself under pressure all the time like that.

i think top four willie is being a bit too optimistic sorry, but i still think we can make 6th spot possibly 5th if we can tighten our defense up.

The conditions were bad for both teams, Salford didn't have a problem winning the game.

He's making his own team, stuff what Wigan had before he can't be bothered trying to get them playing to his rules.

He wants everyone to look at Wigan and say "wow what a great team he has made all on his own"

...or he has identified that things weren't right so he's trying to find the winning formula by changing things around.

So you think that teams of varying quality are equally affected by a deterioration in conditions? :conf:
