I did my shoulder and carried on playing, ended up doing it a few times and having to have a full reconstruction. Wish I’d taken the time to get it right the first time.
would have still needed the surgery
Not everyone who dislocates their shoulder needs surgery?
Martin Riggs didn't

Maybe the club are learning from the mistake they made last season when they played Smith game after game when it's now come to light his shoulder was in a bad way and required major surgery.

As much as it's huge blow after he's built up a really good partnership with both Tommy and Smith, rather than turning into doctors and questioning how long his recovery will be let's trust the club to get this right and he'll be back when he's ready.

A good opportunity to give Jai more time at 6 before we make a rushed decision that he's not well suited to the role. He'll need several games there to settle in properly. If it works we can keep Bevan happy at 1. The best use of the pair of them may not involve playing Jai at 1. i.e. the 1, 6 combination may bring more to the team than Jai at 1 and Bevan on the wing.

For me the issue was Field was untouchable at fullback and we then moved him.
