latics are averaging 17185 this year bet were not far off at the end of the season.....(fingers crossed)!
Pedro. it does no one any favours for you to stick your head in the sand over this one.

Latics' league average is over 21,000.

We've had 17,000 on once so far, for one of our bigger matches of the season.

Our average will - like last year - be around the 13,800 mark. That's why I said that a smaller stadium would suit us fine.
Stick my head where? :doz:

Latics crowd it just over 17k considering they are in the top league of the biggest game on the planet so.......cheers for making no sense about what I said!

For feck's sake, how black and white do you need me to put this?

You're including cup games to gerrymander your figures. Even If you wanted to include Challenge Cup gates like Halton Cross on to our figures, it still wouldn't be like-for-like as the Carling Cup is the second Cup competition, playted in midweek, often beetween reserve teams.

Their attendances for what you rightly call "the biggest league in the world" are over 21,000 and no amount of parading your aren't-I-clever-for-including-cup-games figure of 17,000 will make it the one people take notice of.

Not played Halton simms cross this year!

We played them 2 years ago. What were the mighty latics averaging then?
Not our fault Rugby league only has 2 competitions.

The point still holds, though. If you included that 3,700 crowd, our average for that season would be less. Same as the 6,900 last year for Whitehaven and the 5,900 for Unon Trezistes.

2003 I think it was. It was the day after BillieJoe Edwards and Craig Johnson died in the car crash.

This whole figure thing is irrelevant. We both have a 25000 seater stadium at the moment and that's not changing any time in the near future. Who cares what who's averaging. 2 completely different sports it's just the same as comparing trophies or success over the years. Can we stop before this argument gets uglayyy.
