True but I’ve seen a lot of great prospects who don’t make it to the top.

Anyone can support a team when it is winning, that takes no courage.
But to stand behind a team, to defend a team when it is down and really needs you,
that takes a lot of courage. #18thMan

We lose a great many very good players to the game because they can’t get game time & the old saying ‘we can’t keep them all’.Charriots Offiah wrote: ↑Thu Aug 11, 2022 10:55 amThere have but the percentage is low compared to those who don't.

I spoke with KPP today. He said he does have huge NRL ambitions. And he would never play for a SuperLeague club other than Wigan.josie andrews wrote: ↑Wed Aug 10, 2022 11:52 amMe too, plus French. KPP insists that he has two internationals in front of him for second row & that would be the only reason he left Wigan! Two internationals one who is 32 the other almost 29, KPP 21!Wigan_forever1985 wrote: ↑Wed Aug 10, 2022 9:35 am I would rather keep KPP over bateman - i wouldnt be too upset to see bateman leave at the moment he doesnt look like he will rediscover his pre NRL form

Re: Bateman
I hate to be cynical. Kpp seems like a really nice lad and has huge potential, but he shouldn't say things like that. If he struggles in the NRL and doesn't get a renewal, doesn't play much and ends up out of contract, he will come running to the SL looking for a club and if we are strong in his position(s) and/or don't have room on the cap for him, he will definitely go to another SL team if he has toThe booze hound wrote: ↑Thu Aug 11, 2022 6:16 pmI spoke with KPP today. Re: Bateman
He has always said to me anyway, that he would see his contract out at Wigan. Whether he does now depends on how pushy his agent is!

Re: Bateman
Whether he does is down to KPP . Agents can only advise . IMO if he goes South before he has learned his trade properly he might have to play for another Superleague club when he comes home early doors. The NRL doesn't have a great record with project players
