Bevan French - STAYING or GOING (merged)

Got a hot rumour from a source inside the club, or just something you heard down the pub? Then what are you waiting for, post it on The Rumour Mill.

With the players rumoured to be joining, this makes sense.

Neither of them are FB or Wingers & neither of are non-federation players.
That makes sense in the fact the players we seem to be strongly linked with are Wardle (a lot saying done deal), King and Thompson but doesn’t as surely his wage will have a big affect on who we can sign? If we can get these players under the cap with French and he leaves I would be wanting us to use that cap space.

On another note, I have seen Newcastle linked with Garrick to play full back and Ponga to play In the halves, might be totally unrelated to French if they are signing him as a winger but thought it was worth sharing.

Obviously not confirmed by either club but respected Aussie journalist Barry Toohey has confirmed french will be a knight in 2023 👀

That was said weeks ago maybe not the same bloke tho’.
Anyone can support a team when it is winning, that takes no courage.
But to stand behind a team, to defend a team when it is down and really needs you,
that takes a lot of courage. #18thMan

Fingers crossed Josie. I'm off the derby on Friday. First derby since last game at Central park in 1999. Hopefully a nice announcement pre game!

I agree with the train of thought that if his mind was 100% set on returning home, Wigan wouldn't have had the opportunity to match their contract offer & the Newcastle deal would have been signed & announced weeks ago.

Or he could be playing his cards close to his chest till nearer the end of the season in case there’s an adverse reaction from the fans, hope I’m wrong on that but this is dragging on to long

There is literally no reason to rush Bevan into making a decision. We benefit nothing from doing so.
