What did they lose WF 1985? Probably a bit of goodwill with the season ticket holders, they lost money on the Australia trip by subsidising Hull to travel and if IIRC they rented some offices in London to coincide with the game at Millwall to help improve their image down there, so the cost of them I suppose

Maybe that helped get a certain Mike Danson involved?
Maybe being a club that always tries new things is a selling point to players, coaches, administrators, sponsors etc who wouldn't come or get involved otherwise?

Seen a few people saying 'booked' what exactly have people booked, I can't see anywhere for sale tickets for the game and can only see the 'packages' that the Aussie site is offering, what are people actually booking?

Flights and accommodation, you can get tickets at a later date.

I think it's worth the risk in an effort to increase the profile of the game improve sponsorship opportunities. It's only one game and I'm happy to miss one if it's to do something a little bit different. I'll still be able to watch it on TV and anyone who wants to go can have what's probably a once in a lifetime experience (given how expensive Vegas is).

Not sure how effective it will be for Wigan and Warrington or indeed for the NRL but this is the future of modern sport.

Im sure not all fans will see it as such a negative. No need for the dramatics, it's only one game.

Sad to say I remember the last Wigan v Wire in Mikwaukee in 1989. Nothing came out of that either but as the eariier poster asked I am sure season tickets will only go up for 12 home games not the 13 we pay for now.
Fairs fair though my grandsons tickets for the match against Stains on Friday are £5 less than Good Friday 2023.
