no issues whatsoever with players celebrating / winding up the opposition fans

we can give them stick / abuse etc for 80 minutes, but dont expect any back, sorry but i dont blame them if they do.

I've seen some just turn around and smile (usually when some over weight person is calling them a fat b*******), and others respond in different ways, but to complain when they do is a little bit of pot kettle black

I agree. What's worse, chanting abuse at someone for 80 minutes or someone standing in front of those people and cupping their ears in response? It's something of nothing. Welsby wasn't celebrating much at the end anyway.

Tomkins running backwards staring at the saints fans was no different and he did that twice!

I’ve no issue with it - he’s a top player he’s passionate for his team I don’t care if he’s from Wigan or whatever

The amount of people on here and other places that call him names etc but cry as soon as he gives a bit back

Rugby league could do with more characters and pantomime villains- boring robotic professionals aren’t good for a sport you want characters and personalities

Have to agree. My saying is dont give it if you can't take it.

He couldn't hear any of that, they'd been camped in their own half until that break.

'Don't give it if you can't take it' is spot on. I remember being surprised by a comment from Kelvin Skerrett. He said being a tough guy was about being able to take it rather than just dish it out. That's why he admired Andy Platt so much. He could be relied on to take the ball up no matter how much hammer he was taking. I'm not talking verbals here, btw. Just wanted to get Kelvin's wise words in there.

He could have started a riot baiting the crowd like that. I'm sure Sam Tomkins was fined for something similar against Leeds in the past. I understand that players get wound up and a bit of a reaction from them can be forgiven but we have to draw the line somewhere. He was lucky that some (inebriated?) Wigan fan didn't jump onto the pitch and smack him.
A riot? Seriously

I’ve no issue with it because it just makes it more enjoyable when the fans can give him some back (although I’d bin the pathetic song being sang about him by some).

Also, I wouldn’t have expected Amor to say anything. The guy literally went wild when the break was made for the try and was still on the come down from his celebrations! He made the same noise of excitement when Clark nearly got away late on but thankfully was stopped in his tracks by a Wigan tackle.
