That’s because Newcastle were at home yesterday. Magic weekend last year was in June so football season had finished. No idea why it was changed to August this year.

It was put back to spread the costs for the fans involved in the challenge cup final, in regards to the etihad stadium there’s nowt around the ground there also. If you want a true rugby weekend hold Magic at Notts Forest ground and have the summer bash at Notts County’s ground on the same day. 300 yards apart and have the ticket covering both venues so you can see better quality rugby if IMG pick and choose who goes up and who stays!!!

They should stop chopping & changing dates for both events & give them the same weekend every year. Separate weekends of course
