Bloody hell mate are you a Saints fan. We got ourselves off the canvas and won, and we deserved it. Apart from the interception they never looked like scoring in the second half.

We weren’t lucky, we were the better team.widdenoldboy wrote: ↑Fri Sep 06, 2024 11:09 pmWP came up with some lame mind games leading up to tonight - they didn't work.Wintergreen wrote: ↑Fri Sep 06, 2024 10:50 pm100%.WIGIAN13 wrote: ↑Fri Sep 06, 2024 10:32 pm Am I right did I just hear KRs coach say his players arent told to stay down ..... a team containing Mikey "did you see that ref " Lewis are you sh@tting me. Why is this suddenly a Wigan issue . Miski should demand an apology . As for Dupree exactly same as Ellis and he got a ban bet theres no KR ban
First time I have seen Wigan "play to the rules" with regard to this.
Willie Peters has gone down a lot in my estimation. Is he serious? Lewis practically invented the art of "staying down".
Sour grapes from Peters. Clearly it was their Grand Final. I can see them falling away now.
Lewis still has to push his hands into opponents faces at every tackle - he is better than that - one for WP?
We may count ourselves lucky but its a massive dent to KR, how will they react?

Thompson plays next week, we need to get the job done. No letting up now.DaveOI wrote: ↑Fri Sep 06, 2024 11:58 pm On the edge of my seat all night, probably for SuperLeague the best game of the season.
Harry looking scratchy but fresh in, also don’t think Harvard played the best.
I’ve got a feeling it’s all going to click next few games at just the right time. As someone suggested (sorry can’t remember who) Thompson should be rested. He had a phenomenal game tonight and is arguably one of the best signings we’ve had of late. Great to see Miski back on the scoresheet, hopefully see more from him too.
Come on the Wigan!!

Taken another look, impact was on Miski's kneck, leads with the shoulder, no wrapping action with the arms, penalty, no sin bin.widdenoldboy wrote: ↑Fri Sep 06, 2024 10:29 pmFair one, I'll take another look.Barney841 wrote: ↑Fri Sep 06, 2024 10:28 pmDidn’t hit his head. TBF, Mago's cameo was top draw and Nsemba was awesome throughout.
Puzzled why Tanginoa wasn't penalised for the "tackle" on Miski...just an old fashioned shoulder charge to the head?
Re: Tonight v Hull KR
If they'd let him up there was no Wigan player within 50yards to play the ball to. HKR would probably have to the ball back!Charriots Offiah wrote: ↑Sat Sep 07, 2024 12:08 amCorrect. It was stupid from a seasoned professional.
Re: Tonight v Hull KR
For those thinking we needed the sin bins to win, it's true we scored 4 of 5 during those periods, but we were cutting them apart on the flanks time and again at even strength. We made emote clean breaks than I've seen for a long whike, but werent efficient in finishing them off.
On another day we'd have been 18 up before they got their first (from an illegal play the ball BTW).
Some very strong signs of us regaining form today IMO.
And I agree with WP in general about players staying down (not if he's aiming only at Wigan, but the issue in general). It's a VR problem and can be fixed easily with mandatory HIAs and green cards. We don't need to wait until next season to do this. BTW I didn't hear it like he said they coach HulKR not to stay down and Wigan must coach them to stay down He was saying that maybe they should coach them to stay down because it's clearly effective and it has a big influence on games. Both of those observations are true.

I thought the Tanginoa tackle on Miski was worse than the one Whitbread was sin binned for. Also was it just me but did golden balls Lewis disappear for the final quarter of the game when the going got tough.
Re: Tonight v Hull KR
Miskis head rocked back, couldn’t see if it was direct contact with the head or not. Maybe he should’ve stayed down longer and got WPs back right upwiddenoldboy wrote: ↑Sat Sep 07, 2024 12:15 amCould not get Wilkin flapping his gums on the Miski "tackle". Either it was good solid tackle and it hurt Miski (not one for play acting) or it was a shoulder charge and foul play and hurt just as much.DaveOI wrote: ↑Sat Sep 07, 2024 12:03 amWilkin and Carney need to go for me. Wilkin just talks pure garbage and looks like he’s been drinking most weeks on air. Carney either just solely hates Wigan or just hates SL in general.nathan_rugby wrote: ↑Fri Sep 06, 2024 9:39 pm I feel like Wilkin isn’t distinguishing between a player going down injured and a player faking it.

Mago’s marauding won that game for me didn’t need to be on long but created havoc while he was on

Sorry to labour this but just seen Carney's carnival at the end of tonight's game re video refs ruling on player;s staying down after "tackles". He absolutely crucified Keighran after the Wire away game and here he is bemoaning it benefiting Wigan this time......
