Who has it been denied by?

If you haven't already read the post by Pie Eyed, he is the gentleman who heard it over the scanner.

It would be amusing though if he was listening to a Castleford fan commenting to himself about the match.

ok then the 5th offical scummings but you get my point the man in the middle isnt reffing hes being advised or told from above :conf:
I can see your point Mike, but when the referee gets it wrong there are posts saying that he should be getting more advise and assistance from everybody available (i.e. those in the loop). Now there are people suggesting the referee should make decisions alone.
It seems to me had the official in question not advised KK to stop giving Wigan penalties (allegedly) he may well have carried on doing so, i.e. reffed to the rules.

If that is the advice dished out then the system is corrupt and any benefit of genuine advice is wiped out by this sort of thing.
Obviously it isn't right if the Match Commissioner is telling him to ignore instances where Wigan deserve a penalty but assistance is a good idea in my opinion.
It would be if it were genuine advice and not like this. What gets me is the reason quoted in this thread for his advice that it was "psychological" against Cas. So what? If you give penalties away and as a result start to loose the plot mentally it is your own fault and so you should suffer the consequences. To be protected form your own failings like this, is not part of the game. Good sides don't give many penalties away so why a poor side should be helped out when they do I really don't know.
