Stuff happens. One of the greatest robberies I remember was in 89 when Terry Manning of Fev scored a perfectly good try under the sticks against Wigan to level a game in the last seconds of the game. It was disallowed. No vid ref then but tv replays confirmed the "try"!. Fev went to avoid relegation on the last day of the season and Wigan went onto win the title!
I don't remember such vocifeous complaints at the ref (vid or otherwise)then!! "Robberies" are far more crucial when you can't buy a point in the league!! Sometimes you lose the decisions. Wigan have had plenty go for them in their history as have Fev!

Can anybody remember who was the video ref last season, when we were done out of the game against wakefield which robbed us of a top 6 place? I know the mastermind on field was Kirkpatrick.

Who selects the officials? Do the teams have the option of challenging the selection?

Are they not appointed by Stuart Cummings?

What's the point in challenging the selection though? They officiate in SL week in week out. You can find links between the home town of all referees and find a reason why they might not like Wigan, as you could with every other SL side.

Well Russell Smith has just been dropped for a week in OZ for a poor display. Why dont the RFL do this to our refs? Sorry they cant coz no one could play due to all officials being dropped.
