That was a class pass out the back to Richards, no doubt about it, But we've been heering how talented Lockers is for 2/3 seasons, im sorry but imo he has never performed to that ability, I am just wondering to myself, if Faz wasn't his brother in law would there be as many people claiming he was so great :eusa16:

I'm sorry but aside from a few games ( pre injury ), I've never been able to see how he deserved the future world beater tag we were so quick to lavish on him. He hasn't got the size to be a power player, has made some costly mistakes ( see Dave's points - looked like he couldn't actually be arsed bending down at one point ) & his tackling technique is now bordering on the ridiculous.

I don't quite buy the whole Farrell's brother in law nepotism bit BUT I do think there's more of a hint of Emperors New Clothes about him.

there are are few who should be dropped, but who do we bring in,we havn't got the stength in depth like we once had /and should have to take people out when they are not performing.

Dave he threw an intercept pass. Let's analyse that though. Yes, he was wrong to do so but hey what a nice position he was put in, ball thrown anywhere in our own 22 to him, landed on the ground, trying to mop it up, hence his back to the opposition.

Fletcher threw an intercept too

The failure to mop up the loose ball. If your going to blame him for the subsequent try then damn we better start going back through every 6 tackles leading to a try. In that incident there were plenty at fault.

Sorry but we are entering the crucial phase of the season with many winnable games. Games that will be more winnable with O'loughlin in the team.

Me neither; I just think there are others before Lockers that deserve to be dropped. Orr and tickle, to name just two. DV, although he was better tonight, for another.
Now I hate to say this but I will have a close look at DV on the video because I got the impression during the game that for the first time since he came to Wigan he was actually tackling people, he might even have got upto double figures :eh:
Is the threat of being booted out in ignominy at the end of the season beginning to work?

He looked to me like hes carrying the pressure more than most.He did have a bad game, but there has been players a lot worse than that this season.Maybe take the captaincy away to ease the pressure but that may work against his confidence too!!

Jusy knew there would be a "drop Lockers" thread as soon as I logged on.

This is an over reaction with DaveO yet again in campaign mode. Admittedly, he lost the ball after Lyon's break but which other of our forwards had even got there? They made a break and just got hauled down by the shorts. We were scattered all over the place and IIRC Lockers was the only forward able to get anywhere near the breakdown. I don't know if everybody's hero Feca was on at the time (unlikely I know since he can't give more than 10 minutes a time) but you were never going to see him in the vicinity of a break.

If we are going to criticise our players - and this is the right place to do it - there are many more candidates for the chop than Lockers IMO.

Re the second offence, again CPWigan is correct in that Richards put Lockers in a bad situation. Of course, he had the option of holding onto the ball, but the point has to be made that he was again involved in the action. He is never far away from the ball and plays 80 minutes every week. Some of our other players would do well to watch his example and take note.
