I can't believe what I am reading! Proud of the lads? Why? Did we win? I know that we put a lot of effort in, but without a bit of guile, craft, skill, call it what you will, we are going down. We are playing one man rugby with the smallest team in Super League. We should be using our physical attributes to our advantage. Lets spread the play and use our speed.
There was plenty of guile, craft, skill etc, mostly from Dobson. We lost because of 2 silly interceptions, against the best team in SL.
That result didn't matter in terms of SL survival, but the next 7 after Leeds do, and that performance would have resulted in a win against any of our relegation rivals.
Do you think that same effort would have been there if it wasn't against Saints? I think not!

Woke up this morning feeling happy. We looked like a top-3 side for the frst time since we beat skints last year at home.

We made errors... we always do, every side does. the wigan lads had a new warm-up aswell and obvious the work Vievers is doing is helping our defence. thankyou philly.

i count st helens made more errors than us, we played well in defence and attack! not the best but was certainly a great performance all round.

Cause for optimism now... bring on Leeds... ill be there.

We may not have won but that is the first time this season(well maybe the first half at home to leeds) that we have played well as a team. That performance has given me tha confidence we CAN stay up. Lets get the rhinos game out of the way as being realistic we prob wont take points out of that one but with 9 games at home and they are all winable with performances like last nite and 4 games away from home make me optimistic. Lets just hope the sides above dont increase the gap to much

Yawn. How long are you going to keep bleating on about attendances? The figures say 18000 and several, that's what the tax man will be told, what the accounts will show from ticket sales, what the fire safety co-ordinator will have seen and what the turnstile records will show. Unless you can actually come up with some proof that the club is defrauding the figures (which the club might take offence to in any case) then can you change the record please - I think I've heard this one before.

I think that the lads deverse credit for last nights performance. Like everybody has already said it was a few stupid mistakes and penalties that cost us the game. I don't think that anybody had a really bad game, they all tried. I think some people may be forgetting that the game was a top v bottom clash and that the difference was 14 points. Saints put more points past bradford in the cup last week. I think that the lads did well and are improving. Performances like that against lower clubs, and i believe that we can win them. We just need to continue to play like that! I am more confident after last night!

Get a life mate! If you can't see reasons for optimism in tonights performance then you need to go to specsavers! Just watched the game again on TV and as Eddie said; "This is not top against bottom, this is top against second!" We lost to the best side in superleague (currently by 6 points!) by 4 tries to 3, 2 of which we gifted them! Add to that the 4 points given to them by Klein and the fact that no-one else in SL has beaten them (except Hudds against a weakened side) so it is hardly a disgrace to lose to them! Looking at the fixture list for the rest of the season, there is only Leeds on that form that will give us a game. I do accept though that we do need to show that form in every game from now on, but come on; credit where it's due![/i]
Unlike you, it would appear, I have high expectations. Being narrowly beaten by a team with one eye on the quarter final doesn't do it for me.
We need to start winning. being valliant losers is no good.

You obviously miss the point people are making completly. Before you can start to win games you have to be good enough to do so. Up until now our side have never looked capable of giving the top six clubs a game. THE IMPROVEMENT IN ATTITUDE AND PERFORMANCE was clear to see by anybody who has watched this team this season. I can only conclude that this was the fist Wigan match you have watched OR you have zero knowledge of rugby league it has to be one or the other
