Come on guys its his 1st seasons, all the heads of the players have been rock bottom for the majority of it so it ain't an easy thing to adjust to playing in a new team when the guys around you have got their heads up their backsides too. Pat Richards in my opinion is a quality player and can only improve more when we gain a bit of confidence in our play. I'm definately putting my name down for the official P.R.F.C

Sorry, but that's an argument I always refuse to accept. These are professionals who spend a lot of time playing together, and we usually only sign them for 2 years so should we only expect them to be at their best for 50% of their time at the club? I'd give the imports the first month of the season to get up-to speed, but after that they should be doing the business. No-one was saying about Jamie Lyon "don't expect too much, it's only his first season", he seemed to fit into SL pretty well...

I too thought pat richards was going to be a quality player but when i see him playing, he always looks like he's scared to tackle and get hurt.

All arguments for and against are reasonable. Howvever the facts state that he is the first, and so far only, Wigan player into double figures in terms of tries so far this season. I think anything else is purely opinion.
You can look at stats and interpret them in many different ways but the fact is a lot of richards tries have comne from the high bomb which is pretty one dimensional from the team as a whole, what im disappointed with is that richards hasnt beaten a man with a step or tried to create his own space hes one of those wingers who likes to be put into gaps, and on the occassions this has happened hes dropped the ball when all he needed to do was catch it and fall over the line.I suppose his one saving grace is that he hasnt had a decent centre or seen much ball but there should be more to him than just hanging out on the flank waiting for the ball
But at least he's scoring them - Dallas and Calderwood aren't. He's better than Calderwood at taking the ball up into traffic, too - at least he runs upfield, not sideways.

Yes they can look at the league table.
The truth in this instance would be that PR is our top try scorer.
He is the top try scorer for the worst team currently in SL.
I think the statistics support this.
I do too.

he looks more comfortable on the wing that at centre but he's not done anything for me. In a word I would describe him as 'disinterested.'
My sentiments completely, to my way of watching he hesitates just as he gets to the tackle when he is running up with the ball, tackling last year in the nrl was a strong point for him, not committed I would say.
