The game. Referees are red hot in the first 20 minutes. It is vital you monopolise possession during this period. We have done in previous matches. They give lots of penalties and you get a roll on. today warrington got that. As the referee fatigues what was a penalty in the first 20 becomes play on.

Lockers played well. The club need to come out and defend him re these high tackles. There were umpteen worst tackles than the one he was adjudged to have conceded a penalty for.

We made too many mistakes, and kicked poorly compared to the Wire to allow us to grind them down. Warrington are a team you wear down. Today, our mistakes let them play on Dobson. Gleeson did well. Briers is asking to be run at time and time again, he gets incredibly tired as the half progresses.

We played poorly but could have won that says how far we have come.

Dallas looks out for at least a few weeks. Rads was stuggling after his superb tackle from behind on Briers.

Two points gone begging IMO.

were down but definatley not out i have to say full credit to wigan we tried our best but it is more evidance that referees want wigan to go down because just a couple of mins left an sullivan goes for the drop goal and big scotty logan tackles him so silverwood says knock on to warrington then the silly chap in yellow wit a flag comes over and says there was a interfeorance now i thought once the referee as made a decision its final so i think that warrington did not deserve it neither did wigan it should of been a 20 20 draw do you agree
No, sorry but i don't

Briers conned the ref on both ocasions for penalies under the posts.

1st one he dived, 2nd he screamed at the linesman.

He's a cheat and shouldn't be tollerated.
i agree breirs ive never seen any rugby player cheet as much as he did today
time wasting
was it just me or did anyone else see him have hold of the ball and chucked it away time wating and the goal line drop outs he took forever to take and his peneltys and the diving o and calling the linesman over
he put the linesman under pressure and he ended up changing his mind
now im not saying this because im a wigan fan but i and im sure many other fans feel we were cheeted out of that game 1 minute before time

He was blatently time wasting, and even in the first half he was! Should definatly have been penalised for it in my opinion.

Unlucky for Wigan, just a good job it doesn't put us below Wakey, were still 2 points ahead of them remember. Bring on Catalans I say.

As far as the ticket business - When I got there at about half 1 there were still people quewing at the ticket office, roughtly about 200 (possibly more) and even after that I thought the west stand was over filled, with people stood in the yellow stepped areas. Although, it did all add to the atmosphere with that many fans there :)

My two-penneth. I thought we played poorly with very little direction or lack of following a game plan. Tackling was poor is spells and Dobson's kicking was off.

Warrington played with more conviction I thought, which is why they won.

I thought Silverwood was consistent but I didn't think he controlled the game well. I thought he was too sloppy with offsides at the play-the-ball, markers not square and slowing down the play-the-ball. He was the same for both sides.

The decision at the end was vital. I am not sure whether the decision was right, I don't think there was anyone there in the Wigan end that was looking for which of our players were in offside positions. Silverwood, when he made his final decision, signalled an offside so either Tickle making the tackle on the kicker or our man on the floor kicking the ball were deemed to be in offside positions. I'd need to see it again before I could comment either way.

Steveocod - you will be pleased though that the touch judge intervened and told the referee that one of our players was offside.

I'm sure the linesman was Keith Povah but could be wrong.

Forgot to say...

Warrington's gamesmanship really does aggrevate me. Whenever there's a scrum Briers feins injury, whenever there's a drop out someone goes down injured in the field of play. There's not really any way to penalise this though, just incase they are legitimate.

I think the Wigan fans did the wrong thing in shouting at Briers, it just fired him up to beat us.

In Majorca at minute, tried to find somewhere to watch game without luck. I would appear that the cheat Briers has been up to his old tricks again! Hopefully just a hiccup, pick up the pieces next game. Keep the faith brethern!!!!!!

Pretty much agree with cpwigan & rob's assessments. Yet again we made too many basic errors and gave silly penalties away. O'Loughlin was far from the worst culprit, by the way.
The injury to Dallas was a big factor, I thought, with us having 4 forwards on the bench. Having said that, we were only inches away from winning it with Orr's drop goal attempt, and had a second chance with Dobson's abortive attempt.
As regards that last penalty, Tickle was coming back from an offside position, the decision was correct (eventually).

This was always going to be one of the games we might struggle in, but we've still got the easier run-in, and we're still 2 points ahead.
Worried about Dallas, the way it looked, though.
