im not a fan of tickle, he has just completely lost all what he had last season. if he has his own personal problems then so what! deal with them! he is a professional rugby player for gods sake, its time he started acting and playing like one!
He might be a rugby player but he's still human!! & he can have problems just like everyone else..and as for having problems n dealing with them he will in his own time n not when we tell him to..Give the lad a break

Sorry but no. Personally, I am not even keen on Rugby League players drinking alcohol. It is not the be all and end all but booze and fags are 99% of the time not a good thing for any professional rugby league player. If he is having personal issues then they are not a good idea either.

Danny Tickle is paid to play RL. This year he has no earned his money whatsoever. He should be in the pub, he should be putting extra training sessions in. Many many players have played for this club with personal problems and we have rarely if ever known about them because they kept playing to their potential.

No sympathy needed nor required for Tickle

What has it got to do with anyone else anyway?? People are slagging him off n they don't know the reasons why he's not doing well this season..

Getting his number taken off him n dropped to the bench might not help when he was practically in the team every week last season

We should get behind him not call the lad!!

A former player, Ian Knott is currently entering hospital to have a 3rd disc removed from his back/spine etc. He is facing a life on invalidity. He deserves our concern as do many RL players, past/present.

Danny Tickle does not. I keep hearing tales of woe about danny. I say bollocks. Every time you read a players column about their social life, who is out playing pool, who is out playing golf, who is out on the lash - Danny 'Bloody' Tickle. He's getting paid good money and all the whil;e he is pissing it up the wall and pissing up our backs.

To make it big in this game you have to be devoted, you have to make sacrifices. Joey Johns trains with his team and then does twice as much training again on his own. He's the best there is. Danny Tickle is going backwards and enjoying the life of riley. Coincidence.

No excuses. He's lost the plot. He will regret it. He no longer merits a place in the 18 let alone the team. Why should the likes of O'carroll bust a gut while Danny 'Bloody' Tickle gets his behind wiped.

then he better start sorting them quick because he is lucky mr.noble has let him stay on for so long when his performances have been shabby. he is a professional sportsman and if he has problems then he needs to sort them out by hiself, or with professional help. gulping 10-20 pints every saturday night is not the way to do this!!!!!

best post ive heard all week. absolute fantastic and very, very true.

and tickle's fan. you say taking his shirt number off him has effected him. if so then shouldnt he be putting in that extra effort to gain a place in the first team? just because he was warriors 2005 player of the eyar doesnt mean he sustains a place in the 17 or 18 man squad for holding that title. those displays are the past, how he is playing now is horrendous. i cant recall a good game from him this season.

if he isnt willing to work for his place and show some heart and guts then why should people like eamon o'carrol be left out? an interesting read in the program about eamon o'carrol. all he wants to do is play for wigan, thats his ambition. so why should a slacker, a lazy a**, a boozer step in his way? for me tickle deserves no sympathy, nor does he merit a 17 spot until he works hard and plays harder!

Being dropped to the Academy helped Calderwood, Richards and Vaialiki.

He's been picked for practically every game this season (26 out of 28), albeit half of those on the bench.
IMO, he should have been dropped earlier, as those three above were. I think Noble has stuck with him far longer than his performances have merited.
