Since neither Haven nor Leigh will be coming up, that's fairly irrelevant. Playing standards should only be a very small part of what makes a super league team - if only because they change so quickly.
Take a look at the recent (last 10 years) history of Halifax, Oldham or Workington (all in SL in '96), for an idea of what I mean.

Yeah but take Leigh. They played in the playoffs and got a whopping 1500...and their ground is falling down. They didn't any good attendences last year so why have the RL approved theirs?

Thats such a shame because some Leigh fan said on RLFans that they would be promoted this year then beat us at the millenium stadium in the weekend fest then make the top six, how wrong was he?

I got the impression from a lot of the leigh hierachy that if they got into SL now it would be too soon as they really want the new stadium open.Personally i think they are right because Hilton Park is a tip!
True. The Sports Village is only due for completion by the end of the 2007 season.
Mind you, their estimates of the support they would get last year turned out to be wildly optimistic, it remains to be seen if the new stadium would have the effect of increasing their support.

Its not only the rugby league but football also will benefit, amongst other sports. The sports village will benefit the community and pump cash into the local economy. Obviously Leigh C wont sell out every match, but its surprising what a new stadium does - attracts people, maybe not a lot, but will, and may take until 2010 for Leigh to be on a level with Salford or Harlequins in terms of support week in week out. New stadium = more money = leigh C and leigh RMI gains cash = move up their leagues etc...
