McAvoy is a solid player but nothing more than that in my opinion. He served a purpose last season, but if we are going to make any real impact in the super league next season, and challenge team like Saints, Mcavoy is not the answer. We need strike power and class in this department. Not just a big plug!!!

I agree with cpwigan... solo seems to be at 'the top' in wakefield, if he comes to wigan, there'll be many players that would get more attention than him, fielden, barrett, ashton...

i'd prefer Haoe, hes played at the top in super league (grand finals, world challenges) and has played week in week out with top quality players like Volcano etc...

Why don't we put a sign up at the JJB:
Sign at the JJB would read:
For Sale
One centre, hardly used.
50p or free to good home
Joking aside if ANYBODY showed an interest in DV then we should pay them to take him off of our hands. We've let far better players go. To be honest I would be happy if the club swapped him for a tackling bag.

And we don't need Solomona either - far to much a liability - Although he is currently awaiting surgery; so that must make it more likely that we'll sign him...

Interviewer: So that obviously means that you're not going to St Helens and you're not going to Leeds?

Frano: I don't know why I would ever want to go to St Helens or Leeds

He's to lazy...out of the game to much, then 1 moment of brilliance and everyone raves.

Plus he gives to many penalties away, can't wait to see him and newton playing together...better get the ref a new whistle.

No we haven't, Danny Orr's left the club now...

Can you actaully recall Orr giving a penalty away? I think he was referring to Hock who definately does give too many penalties away and seemingly at crucial times in games as well.

Mind you I am struggling to think who he meant with the "moment of brilliance bit".

I'm sure Danny gave away the occasional penalty as every player does, but from his/her previous messages I'm certain Medlocke was referring to Lockers. My comment was not meant to be taken too seriously...

Perhaps I should have used Logan as my example, but then I couldn't think of any "moments of brilliance" from him. A very solid player and an asset to the club this year, but not brilliant.

It has been confirmed for me this morning that Wigan are not to sign Solomona, so we can all move on from this one.
