Solomona agent has discussion with Wigan
Re: Solomona agent has dis...
You're never far off the mark with your "insider" knowledge. I am happy to take your word for it that this rumour is a non starter.

I have also been told that Wigan are trying every way they can to sign Hape but there are not just one stumbling block in front of them but many. But again they have not given up as yet.

Despite all his bad qualities, if anyone can pull it off it's your best mate Maurice. (with the help of Nobby)Wigan Watcher posted:Thanks for that.Sutty posted:

I thought there were at least two stumbling blocks. The overseas quota and the fact we had offered Baily a contract which if he signed it is as watertight as DV's.Wigan Watcher posted:

Mo was on about Fletcher staying longer so it must be baily to make way.
I can't see Baily agreeing to cancel his contract without compensation if at all (he won't have an NRL club to go to) and if we paid him compensation that would count on the salary cap.
I hope Wigan don't end up offloading too many players to fit expensive players under the cap.
We must already be paying Barrett a fortune the consensus is DV is on a fortune as well and I bet Hape would cost more than Baily.

I honestly don't think there's any serious way that we can get hold of Hape. If it's true that Bailey wants to stay in Aus, then that might give us some impetus to look into it, but otherwise it's a complete non-starter.DaveO posted:I thought there were at least two stumbling blocks. I think we've already got a pretty good idea who our signings are going to be for 2007, and adding to those, we need a prop and a kicker, and - if it's true that Lulu's not up to scratch medically - a scrum half. For the moment we'll have to soldier on with the centres we've got.
Re: Solomona agent has dis...
Nothing has been said about Mc Avoy signing for us next year i know Nobby wants him but his signing is pure speculation .I think if Withers signs he would replace McAvoy .Withers with Ashton could cover wing/centre/fullback between them.Martin Taylor posted:
McAvoy is a solid player but nothing more than that in my opinion. He served a purpose last season, but if we are going to make any real impact in the super league next season, and challenge team like Saints, Mcavoy is not the answer. We need strike power and class in this department. Not just a big plug!!!

Solomona agent has talk with Wigan!
I'd say his agent would definitely have spoken with Wigan at some point, considering he also works for Vaealiki and i think Moran, possibly a few others.
It seems as though your rumour mill runs just as fast as ours. If someone has even been in the same area as the club then they must be signing
