CCW, I think you need to read my messages properly. I never said we are THE big money earner at the JJB, I said that we bring in a decent amount of money, particularly when you compare the cost of running WRLFC to the other lot. Ticket sales cover our salary cap, I doubt the same can be said for soccer. We operate at a profit, and that's got to be a pleasing thing for any owner. I don't really care how much money the latics make, their sport doesn't interest me and it's irrelevant to profits of the rugby team.Cuculus Canorus Warrior posted:
Fraggle, I think you need to think out your maths before you claim that we are the big money earner at the JJB.

Re: New cricket ground
It seems a lot of people here don't want a balnced and reasonable debate about this. Maybe the cricket ground suggestion was a non-starter but this thread has revealed a mix of opinions about the groundhare (as well as some downright lies about the two clubs' relative attendances).
Re: New cricket ground
It's not that, it's just that this is a Wigan warriors board...if we wanted to discuss Latics we'd go on one of their boards.im_a_cuckoo posted:

Apart from affecting the state of the pitch, Latics' use of the JJB, or their attendances, have no relevance to us.
