Re: Welsh rugby and the BBC
I agree that the bottom-up approach is best. As for the Welsh love for "rugby": of course union is the traditional game. But I remember matches at Cardiff and the good number of Welsh folk who attended. Also a World Cup match at Old Trafford, where we were next to a group of 8 to 10 Welsh ...

Welsh rugby and the BBC
A good piece on BBC sport online today on Welsh rugby (league of course).
The Beeb cops a lot of criticism about it's RL coverage, sometimes justified, but this is great stuff from the national broadcaster.

Re: Wigan squad for Warrington (A)
I wondered if Miski's omission was a mistake, as Keighran is listed as number 2? However, there are 21 on the sheet, so maybe not.

Re: Jake dropped
Jake Conner was described by his coach at Hull as "a slug", and is old enough to know better.
I get the impression that Mikey Lewis is maturing. I'd be happy if Wigan signed a player like Lewis, but not Conner.

Re: Challenge Cup Final Tickets
I checked the RFL site the other day, but waited til today to try to buy 2 tickets from the club. All I could get behind the goal was "safe standing area" or similar. Baffled, and me and my brother are in our 70s and not standing, Next choice was near the corner flag (not good) or up at th...

Re: Wigan Warriors: The incredible stats behind Challenge Cup semi-final triumph to reach Wembley
Matt Peet has mentioned on several occasions about "playing behind Harry's kicking game" or similar but I doubt that extends to a deliberate policy of not gaining yards on exit sets. The luxury of having a kicker who, as Kev Brown often says, "puts his boot through the ball", es...

Re: Wigan Warriors: The incredible stats behind Challenge Cup semi-final triumph to reach Wembley
A question for our tactical experts from a mere spectator . . . I've noticed that some of best performances come when we seem to spend much time in our own half and rely on Harry's kicking to get down field. WCC and the semi-final being two examples, Could this be a deliberate tactic? The thinking m...

Harry Smith's kicking (and our chase) is the big difference between the sides
