Thanks, DaveO

On topic. Genuine question

<t>Saw a bit of the game tonight on Sky until the wife came in and said, quite reasonably, 'What are you watching this for? You don't even like rugby league.' For me, it just demonstrated the lengths I'd go to to avoid 'Comic Relief'.<br/> <br/> Anyway. a tactical point occured to me and I was hopin...

Re: Lancaster you say?

No point in arguing with you about the ground issue as they'll just block the thread.

Re: Incredible pettiness

<t>Come on, lighten up: you love it. Our little football club got stick from your lot for 25 years while you were top dogs in the town. Last year was the first since 1980/81 when we could honestly lay claim to bragging rights, eclipsing you for support, league position, cup finals and, yes, worldwid...

Incredible pettiness

<t>I suppose I can't really complain that Mike has blocked the two football threads - they were going round and round like an Escher painting. What I do object to is the fact that in a fit of revisionism worthy of Stalin he's deleted my final posts in which I attempted to bring some kind of closure ...

Re: Would you be offended ...

If that's so, how did the likes of Watford, Plymouth, Blackburn, City and Middlesborough reach the last eight in this year's FA Cup?

Fella, I meet plenty of people who travel up from London and down from Scotland to watch Latics games. There's groups of Scandinavians, too.

Re: Would you be offended ...

Do you know how mnay teams enter the FA Cup? 697 this season. It might not be an honour but getting to the last eight is quite an achievement. Like getting into the Top Ten of the Premiership. We're not talking about a sport with only four decent clubs in it.
